Scaling Operations
Building a company takes vision and grit. Over the last decade I’ve helped scale early-stage start-ups from seed through to series A.
The secret sauce of clearly defined roles, robust internal communication practices, and employee engagement programs has led my work to be recognized by investors like VMG Catalyst and Sequoia Capital.
Thirdweb is a series A digital-first web3 start-up with investor fundraising totaling an amount of $18M (USD).
The cap table includes Haun Ventures and lead executives Furqan Rydhan (CEO) and Steven Bartlett (CMO).
As acting Head of People my role supported thirdweb through change management as it restructured the team and supported their next phase of growth. To support this, I developed the following programs
Quarterly leadership retreats in San Francisco (pictured)
Change management to measure and analyze employee engagement using Lattice
Culture survey and analysis: 85% engagement
Onboarding programming and offboarding transition management
Internal communications and culture design: employer brand, employee handbook, best practices, and global team policies

Swell Commerce
Swell Commerce was a seed to series A ($20M USD) remote-first ecommerce API start-up.
The cap table included VMG Catalyst led by C-Level execs, Eric Ingram (CEO) and Stefan Kende (COO).
As Director of Culture my role worked hand in glove with our COO to support Swell grow from seed (18 employees) to series A (60 employees).
Our team represented 11 different countries across 6 different timezones. As a founding operational hire, I supported the design and hiring of our team in addition to the following initiatives
Annual team retreat to Mexico with 100% attendance rate (presentation pictured)
Culture survey and analysis with 80% engagement and team satisfaction
Onboarding programming design and implementation
Internal communications and culture design: employer brand, employee handbook, meeting structures, weekly town hall events, and internal wiki design
MPC Montreal
MPC VFX is a post-production studio part of the Technicolour Films organization.
In 2013 MPC opened its doors to Montreal accommodating over 1500 artists from around the world.
As the first production team hire I worked in collaboration with our administrative, HR, and IT departments to ensure smooth studio execution and project production. In addition to working on film production I supported the following initiatives:
Studio move from our temporary location to MPC Montreal’s permanent location
Internal communication support for our HR department and internal HUB
Onboarding communication for all new hires and internal transfers from international MPC studio locations.
Studio logistics and operations to support client meeting functionality and teamwide weekly town hall meetings
